Angela Roig, RCC
Hi, I'm Angela.
I'm a Registered Clinical Counsellor in British Columbia and a licensed psychologist in
Spain. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Clinical
Psychology, along with additional training in Perinatal Psychology, trauma-informed
practice, grief, dissociation, and systemic family therapy. My approach is integrative,
collaborative, and trauma-informed.
I believe therapy is about more than learning coping strategies, it's about having a
space where you feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported as you make sense
of your experiences at your own pace. My role isn't to tell you what to do, but to walk
alongside you with curiosity, compassion, and respect for your unique story.
Much of my work is guided by the understanding that our relationships, family systems,
emotions, and the different parts of us all shape how we experience ourselves and the
world around us. Together, we'll gently explore these patterns, making space for self-
understanding, healing, and a meaningful change.
I work with adults experiencing anxiety, grief, trauma, relationship challenges, and life
transitions, with a particular focus on supporting women. I have extensive experience
walking alongside women recovering from intimate partner violence and coercive
relationships, and I also enjoy supporting women through pregnancy, postpartum,
motherhood, fertility journeys, identity changes, and the many emotional shifts that can
accompany different stages of life. Whether you're navigating a specific challenge or
simply feeling disconnected from yourself, therapy can be a place to reconnect with
your values, strengths, and sense of self.
Originally from Spain and now living in Canada, I bring both personal and professional
experience of navigating change, identity, and belonging. As a mother of three, I know
that caring for others often leaves little room to care for ourselves. While every person's
journey is unique, becoming a parent has deepened my appreciation for self-
compassion, flexibility, and the importance of having support through life's busiest and
most demanding seasons. Outside of work, you'll usually find me gardening, hiking,
exploring new places, or spending time with loved ones, especially whenever I can visit
family and friends back home in Spain.
I offer therapy in English, Spanish, and Catalan, and welcome adults from diverse
cultural backgrounds. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply looking for
a space to better understand yourself, I'd be honoured to walk alongside you.
