Mental Health Counselling
Our mental health counselling for women’s health provides a safe, supportive, and confidential space for clients to explore emotional challenges connected to reproductive health, hormonal changes, stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, relationships, grief, pregnancy, postpartum experiences, fertility concerns, menopause, and major life transitions.
Women’s health is deeply connected to mental, emotional, physical, and social well-being. Counselling can help clients better understand their emotions, strengthen coping skills, process difficult experiences, improve self-awareness, and build healthier patterns in daily life. Whether you are navigating a specific health concern or simply feeling overwhelmed, counselling offers compassionate support tailored to your personal goals and lived experience.
Our counselling services may be provided by qualified mental health professionals such as Registered Clinical Counsellors (RCCs) and Registered Therapeutic Counsellors (RTCs). Both types of counsellors support clients through talk therapy, emotional processing, coping strategies, nervous system regulation, relationship concerns, stress management, trauma-informed care, and personal growth.
An RCC, or Registered Clinical Counsellor, is registered through the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. RCCs are trained to support a wide range of mental health concerns and are often recognized by extended health benefit plans. BCACC describes the RCC designation as a marker of professional accountability, standards, competence, and trust; RCC eligibility includes graduate-level counselling education and supervised clinical experience.
An RTC, or Registered Therapeutic Counsellor, is registered through the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada. RTCs provide client-centred therapeutic support for emotional wellness, life challenges, trauma, stress, anxiety, relationships, and personal development. ACCT describes the RTC designation as reflecting counselling training, direct client contact, clinical supervision, and professional integrity.
Many clients use extended health benefits to help cover counselling services. Coverage depends on your specific insurance plan, provider, policy wording, annual limits, and the counsellor’s designation. Common providers clients may ask about include Pacific Blue Cross, Sun Life, Manulife, Canada Life, Green Shield Canada, Equitable Life, iA Financial, ClaimSecure, Alberta Blue Cross, Manitoba Blue Cross, and Victor Insurance. ACCT lists several providers that may reimburse ACCT counsellors where plans include counselling coverage, and Pacific Blue Cross states that counselling may be covered under some benefits plans.
Before booking, we recommend checking your benefits plan to confirm whether your coverage includes Registered Clinical Counsellors, Registered Therapeutic Counsellors, clinical counselling, psychotherapy, or counselling services. If eligible, clients may be able to submit an official receipt for reimbursement through their insurance provider.
Nutrition Support
Our women’s nutrition services are designed to support your overall well-being through evidence-based, personalized, and sustainable nutrition care. We help clients better understand how food, lifestyle, stress, and daily habits can impact energy levels, digestion, mood, hormonal balance, reproductive health, and long-term wellness. Our Registered Dietitians are licensed healthcare professionals qualified to provide nutrition assessment, medical nutrition therapy, and individualized guidance tailored to your unique health needs and goals.
Our approach is supportive, educational, and realistic. Rather than focusing on restrictive diets or quick fixes, we work collaboratively with you to build nutrition habits that fit your body, lifestyle, preferences, and stage of life. Whether you are looking to improve your relationship with food, support reproductive wellness, manage stress-related eating, increase energy, navigate digestive concerns, or create a healthier routine, our dietitians are here to help you feel informed, confident, and supported.
Women’s health is deeply connected to nutrition, emotional well-being, and everyday lifestyle choices. Through one-on-one counselling and evidence-based education, we provide practical tools and strategies to help you make sustainable decisions that support your overall health. Our goal is to make nutrition feel approachable, flexible, and empowering rather than overwhelming.
Many extended health insurance plans in British Columbia provide coverage for services offered by Registered Dietitians. Coverage may vary depending on your provider and individual plan. Common insurance providers that may include Registered Dietitian services include Pacific Blue Cross, Sun Life, Canada Life, Manulife, GreenShield, Desjardins Insurance, and Beneva. Some workplace health spending accounts or flexible spending accounts may also cover nutrition counselling services. Please check with your insurance provider or employer to confirm your specific coverage before booking your appointment.
